Sales Counters

A retailer renovates part of her store including the sales counter. She knows that the ADA requires an accessible sales counter, so she specifies to the contractor that a section of the counter should be built no more than 36 inches high, and that section should be at least 36 inches wide, so it can be used by customers who use wheelchairs or scooters. The contractor checks the ADA Standards as the counter is built to make sure it complies.
