Objects projecting from walls cannot project more than 4 inches (100 mm) if the lowest point of the object is higher than 27 inches (685 mm) and below 80 inches (2030 mm) above the floor, walk or circulation path. Objects projecting from walls that have the lowest point below 27 inches (685 mm) may project any amount.
The minimum head clearance of overhead objects is 80 inches (2030 mm).
